November 2008

Talk about forward planning I have been contacted In relation to Shetland hamefarin 2010, which is 13 to 27 June 2010. Is that not 2 years away,  guess I should get organised then!

October 2008

This is one of the reasons that I let out the flat, the excitement of getting a call all the way from New Zealand.  It turns out that this customer’s daughter lives in the nearest town to my friend in the north of north isle New Zealand, though she lives in the south. This modern world’s communication means that we can literally speak to people on the other side of the world, cool.

September 2008

Must have been a busy season I have managed to break the hover, the spare hover is not as good so if I can’t get it mended I will have to get a new one

August 2008

Although I have one family from Germany the other occupants this month are also from Scotland.  I don’t think the mother thought a lot of the very basic German that I tried, thankfully the sons spoke very excellent English, probably better than mine.

They say that having a holiday in the UK by those living here is unusual but I have all Scots this month.

It’s Nice to have returning customers, please come back and back again.  It’s nice to have it confirmed that people like the place

A Nice long let, Ballet dancers.  It is nice to help getting culture into the islands.  I Replaced the mat in the living room as suggested by the visit Scotland inspector.

Confirmed details of a link to Sinclair’s taxies this will mean that I am now offering the service of collection from the airport, or other location at a reduced rate.  They will be able to take the customer direct to the flat and give them the key to the building.

Visit Scotland inspection,  I will keep the three stars that I currently have.  I have improved my overall score but not quite enough for 4 stars, perhaps next year.

A quiet month with some time for cleaning, and a little painting.

Up-Helly-Aa.  This week is one of the most asked after so far,  the people in this week had booked the flat more than four months in advance.

A guest this month signs the book as being from India

New standard laps are placed in the living room giving additional light for the dining table

An empty month with time for a deep clean
